Update- February/March

Morgan is doing really well. She is back in the swing of her "normal" life. She is excelling in school and managed to pull off straight A's for her first full report card. She also decided to head back to school after spring break wig free! She looks so beautiful and exudes confidence! We are so proud of her!

We were contacted by Make A Wish about a month ago as they wanted to know if she would like to be the spokesperson for an upcoming fundraising event at The Cactus Club. She was eager to help! We met with Make A Wish and Cactus Club and did a photo shoot at the Coal Harbor Cactus Club location for the upcoming fundraiser. Morgan got to sample numerous desserts and was even given an honorary Cactus Club chef's coat! She had a blast at the photo shoot.

The fundraiser runs from April 4th-10th at all Cactus Club locations. $1 from all desserts purchased will go towards The Make A Wish Foundation to support kids just like Morgan who are or have been critically ill. Her picture will be featured on the dessert menu throughout the course of the campaign. So, if you have the opportunity, please go out and support this amazing Foundation!

We managed to sneak away for a little weekend family trip to the gulf islands over the course of spring break. It was really great to get away and to spend some much needed family time.

We are also gearing up to go on Morgan's Make A Wish trip which is scheduled for mid May and she couldn't be more excited for that!

Lastly, Morgan is having her first follow up 3 month MRI, X-ray and blood work done tomorrow. We will then go in this Thursday to get the results. This 3 month scan is a very important one as most relapses happen within the first year, with  the first 3 months being the most common time of relapse. Morgan has been feeling great and looking super healthy so we are feeling very positive about these scans.
Positive thoughts and well wishes are greatly appreciated as it can be a little nerve wracking until we hear the all clear again on Thursday.
